Recycled Blues - Down In The Bottom

The first version of "Down In The Bottom" that I heard was George Thorogood's version off of his "Haircut" album. That's my favourite. I found out later it was a Howlin' Wolf song. Here is the original version by Howlin' Wolf plus some recycled versions by George Thorogood, John Mellencamp, Bill Wyman, John Lee Hooker and Eric Sardinas. Great tune and some interesting approaches to the same song.

Boppin' Blues

Here's my first real post. A collection of some boppin' blues tunes that I put together for a CD for myself and a buddy of mine. There is some of the usual stuff plus and few tunes that you might not have heard before. Some great background music for a party, cruisin' down the highway or just sittin' back and relaxin'. Just started this blog and haven't decided exactly what to post yet. If you like them rockin' blues, you'll probably like some of the stuff I'm going to post, most of which will be downloadable. I'm a big fan of the blues and a wannabe geetar player. I'm a big fan of a lot of the old blues players like Muddy Waters, Howlin' Wolf, Albert King, John Lee Hooker, Sonny Boy Williamson and many more. I'd have to say that John Lee Hooker is my favourite. I'm also a big fan of the likes of Eric Clapton, ZZ Top, George Thorogood, Stevie Ray Vaughan and just about anyone else who plays those rockin' blues. I started kind of late at playing the geetar but I have a lot fun with it. Bought myself a Stratocaster about 7 years ago and I like to play it loud whenever I can. Hope you'll enjoy this site.
